Love Story

Annette met Sebastien many years ago
With all her heart she loved him so
She knew he was her soul mate
To love someone this much, could only be fate
 
In elementary school they were the best of friends
They played on the swings for hours on end
This carried on for many years
They were always there, to wipe each other's tears
 
Before they knew it they were all grown 
Making sure their love for each other was always shown
They knew they'd never find another
That they cared about as much, as each other
 
Then one day while walking in the sand 
Sebastien took Annette's hand
A tear slowly rolled down his cheek
He could barely say the words, he wanted to speak
 
"I love you Annette, I wanna be with you for life"
"You'd make me the happiest man if you'd be my wife"
Annette kissed him and said, "I love you"
Then in his ear softly whispered, "I do"
 
Suddenly one day Annette became sick
She had a heart problem and needed a new one quick
The doctors told her about two weeks
Tears started to pour down her cheeks
 
Sebastien stayed by her night and day
Slowly she was fading away
Loving her with all his heart
He made the decision, they had to part
 
He was very scared when he signed his name
Although he knew by this she would gain
A life she could live with much happiness
He knew that he would always be missed
 
He kissed her lips and said good-bye
All he could do was sit there and cry
He told her he loved her so
And it was so hard to let her go
 
Annette woke up and didn't know what was going on
She wondered why Sebastien had been gone for so long
She asked the docter where he had been
All he said was, "This is hard to explain you see"

"You needed a new heart and you needed it fast
Otherwise your life would not last
Sebastien loved you more than you know
And through what he did, this is shown"

"He wanted you to be happy and live,
So to you his heart he did give"
Then he handed Annette a note
And on it, this is what he wrote:
 
"I gave you my heart once before
And now I give it to you once more
You gave me love I didn't know of
I'll always be watching you from above"
 
A tear slowly rolled down Annette's face
Sebastien was who she wanted to embrace
And thank him again for giving his heart
Now she knew they would never truly be apart
